Success, SuccessWhen Pack 1152 come together to get it done, we get it DONE!!! What a great couple of fund-raisers we've had. Our Bake Sale was second to none! We sold every cookie, cupcake, brownie and muffin the pack offered and got some really nice donations to boot!
Thanks to all who participated in this endeavor :). And do we have some bowlers in our pack or what? Our "Bowling for Pennies" pack meeting was another success. Not because of what funds were earned, although they were pretty good, but did those boys have a good time? I'd say "YES" they did, and they did it Gangnam style!! Where did those boys learn to dance like that? Did anyone video that? Great times and good fun, it's what Makes a Pack Go!! Kudos to Pack 1152! |
Pack Fund RaisingIn light of the recent realization that the pack is low on funds to finish out the year, some Fund Raising has been scheduled for the very near future. Typically in years past the wreath sales have covered all major expenses, but it fell short this year. What we can do now to "Make the Pack GO" is come together and "Do Your Best". A list of scheduled fund raisers and future options has been emailed to All Pack members already. Please see our At a Glance on the home page for immediate opportunities. Pack 1152 appreciates your support and commitment.

Scout SundayThank you to ALL the pack that turned out for Scout Sunday. What a great accomplishment these young wolves achieved in receiving their Religious Emblems. A big "round" of applause goes to Riley Obidzinski for his God & Me emblem, Joshua Hendrix for his God & Me emblem and Joshua Pomorski for his Light of Christ emblem. Included in this esteemed group is Kim Obidzinski for her accomplishment in receiving her religious Mentoring pin. Way to go Kim, well done.
A special Kudos goes out to Mr. Dave Munoz, our Scout Sunday presenter, who really helped "Make the Pack Go" on this auspicious Sunday. |
Derby Results are INWhat a great time was had by all. After working out a few glitches with the track, (thanks to all who handled that) racing was on its way!!! These scouts really did a great job with their derby cars. Some won, some lost but the most important thing is that we all showed great sportsmanship!! Many of these racers were running neck & neck on the track which made for a lot of ooooohhhs and aaaaahhhhs in the packed stands.
Let's give a cub scout big round of applause to all those leaders & volunteers who kept things running smoothly. Thanks everyone, see ya at the races next year!! :) |
Pinewood DerbyWhat a spectacular event Pack 1152's Pinewood Derby is going to be!! These scouts have worked long and hard on building a most impressive display of craftsmanship and design. December Christmas Pack MeetingWhat a great time was had by all. We had some very proud Tigers who received their Bobcat Badges. Way to go Tigers!!
A special visitor in a red suit stopped by and gave all our scouts their Pinewood Derby cars. We all can't wait to see the stunning designs crafted by our very talented scouts and parent partners. Derby's right around the corner on January 20th, 2013. I think it's easy to say that our scouts loved making their "big bang" while running their holiday obstacle course. Throwing the snowballs through the wreaths was a big hit also. And the food.....another great success. Thanks to all those who participated and helped to make our Christmas Pack meeting an evening to remember. |
Wreath Assembly Date ChangeOur second week of Wreath Assembly will take place on Sunday, November 18th at 9am in S.S. Pavillion due to a delivery problem with our wreath supplier. We hope Everyone in Pack 1152 can show up and lend support to our only fundraising program.
Thank you to all the helping hands for our Scouting for Food program. Many bags of food were collected and brought to the distribution center. It's nice knowing Pack 1152 had a hand in helping many of our neighbors not going hungry over the upcoming holidays. God Bless you All. |

Wreath BowsThis will be our first year in our Wreath Fund Raising Program that we will receive our bows early. This should make our Wreath Assembly event go so much smoother and faster the days of assembly. What the pack needs is every parent/scout to volunteer to come in to the Scout room with irons and towels in hand, and iron the bows to a wrinkle free, crisp appearance. As soon as the bows are in, the den leaders will be notified and they in turn will contact families on the date(s) and time(s) the Scout Room will be open. Again this is our first year handling the "bow situation" like this and we hope to execute this phase of the program as smooth as possible, please be forgiving if we run into any unforseen snags. Just remember, "Many hands, make light work" Thank you for your support. Please see our events page for our wreath fundraising program.

Saint Sebastian FestivalIt's that time of year again for the annual St. Sebastian Festival. Cub Scouts are being called to 'active duty'.
All scouts are being asked to participate in the festival parade in uniform. Please arrive by 10:45am to be positioned in the line up of the parade which starts at 11am. Our route "typically" starts and ends on fair grounds traveling via Dartmouth to Monroe to Annapolis Sts. Scouts are also showing their "Community Support" by helping to clean up the fair grounds on Saturday and Sunday. Please lend your help for these 2 hour shifts by contacting your Cub Master. And don't forget coming out and enjoying yourself with rides, games, entertainments, raffles and vegas tent etc. A good time can be had by all by supporting St. Stebastian Catholic Church and School. |
A Successful Scout SundayWhat an impressive Scout Sunday we had at St. Sebastian's Church. Not only did we acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our Scouts who were receiving their Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei Religious Emblems, gathered with us were past Scouts, Eagle Scouts, and Pack Leaders reminding us that a Scout is "reverent"!
A special dedication of Pack 1152's Scout Room was made to Sr. Deacon Reverend Mr. Larry Girard who in past years was a very active Leader in Pack 1152. Thank you Deacon Larry for all you do! Well done Scouts, keep up the Great work!!! |
Congrat to our Derby WinnersA big round of applause to all our Scout participants and their parents for a successful Pinewood Derby Race Day.
